Vancouver Fire & Radius Security is seeking an IT Support Technician to add to our growing international company. Reporting to the Radius Security Operations Manager, the IT Support Technician will have a dynamic role supporting the tech needs of the Commercial Security team.

Job Description

Your success will be measured on how efficiently and accurately you are managing and executing these responsibilities:

  • Supporting the tech needs of our Radius Security team, which includes our technicians, administration, manufacturing, and management staff
  • Creating work orders and coordinating with the Radius Security team to execute and complete projects
  • Delivering the best technical support for internal and external customers (via phone & email)
  • Managing customer expectations and troubleshooting systems to ensure systems are at peak performance
  • Connecting with clients, vendors, and your teammates on a daily basis to meet their needs
  • Programming and testing Radius Security products
  • Following company/customer policies and procedures (i.e. internal controls, record retention, verifications, etc.)
  • Identifying areas for improvement in our processes


What you have:

  • Working knowledge of SQL-based ERP systems, security industry-focused management systems (ex. Sureview Immix and Bold Manitou, and security-related equipment including Sur-Gard Virtual Receiver would be preferred)
  • Certification in Network Administration and Security such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows Server 2016, CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate, MCSA, VMware is mandatory
  • Proven network administration, computer acience, web development, and IT admin experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot, perform investigations, analyze data, video, code and report findings
  • Experience in developing information systems architecture, business applications standards, change management, incident management, problem management, and service management is an asset
  • Proficient working experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Customer service experience is a bonus

Physical Requirements

  • Commitment to working safely at all times
  • Must be physically able to do the following:
    • Sit for long periods of time 
    • Work with telephones, computer and other office equipment
    • Consistently sit, reach, climb, stoop, kneel and crouch 
    • Lift and move 40 lbs at times
